Thirty Three

I'm 33 years old
I've known my husband now for half my life
I have a son who's almost half as old as I am (14)
I have family and friends that wish me well
I have a feeling this year is going to be a good one

Happy birthday to me...

Our local fair opened on Thursday and on Friday it was free from 4-5pm and grandstand seating for the Lee Ann Womack and Clay Walker was also free. So I hitched a ride with my sister, who almost didn't get us there on time and we got in for freeeeeee. I made a quick pit-stop at the restroom (TMI) and of I went to stake out my spot in line for the concert...We got in by 5 and the concert didn't start until 7:30 so yes you might say I am slightly insane for waiting in line but it was worth it! and I had my socks to knit on while I waited.

great "FREE" seats!Lee Ann was awesome like always, although...maybe my mind/heart wasn't in it like usual or I was just in a mood? but she seemed to annoy me?!

Thank goodness for my favorites!

and what a surprise Clay Walker was!!! Loved it! Beach balls and all! not bad for a night of FREE!

This was the view walking in to work this morning. It makes me wish Fall was right around the corner! I just love that time of year!

Makes me want to finish these off and wear them around!

No, these are not some weird undergarment! these will be socks! knitted socks! If I ever finish these I'll be so proud of myself!

and just so you don't think I've completely abandoned my craft...I've also been crocheting.

Just a plain giant granny baby blanket...but if you could just feel it! it's so squooshy and soft!
and just because I was feeling a little down...I even brought the sewing out!

I felt bad that the granny blanket was so tiny so I made this too...nothing fancy but still very cute!
Wow! I go missing for a bit and I come back very crafty!!!
Hope everyone is having a great summer!? and anxiously waiting the Fall like I am!

I'm not ready

Today is his first day of school...High School and I am not there. I have taken him to EVERY first day of school since we started and it's absolutely killing me that I can not be there today. But as it was so very graciously pointed out to me by my (n)ever understanding spouse...No one takes their kids to the first day of high school! Well I say your wrong! I was taken to my fist day by both my parents! and it wasn't embarrassing in the least! it made it easier for me.
So I sit here at work making myself sick because I'm missing this. Tearing up at the thought that our tradition has been broken...this is major people, I usually don't feel.
