It's always nice when I get to spend a nice day with the family...We drove out to the Poppy Reserve took some pretty pictures, headed north to Gorman, grabbed some dinner and drove back through the mountains enjoying the scenery!

Sprung...

Every Spring I am reminded of the movie Bambi...remember? How all the animals in the forest get twitter-patted? Well it appears the Spring has sprung in my neck of the "woods" and it's all I can do to contain myself...

The Flowers have sprung...

The Groupies have Sprung...

I just love when things work out for me! Last week, I was feeling VERY into PURPLES so

One day mid week I posted this pictureon my twitter...(Do you follow?) and exclaimed how awesome it would be to have yarn this color

And to my surprise I got this in the mail...

It's Cranberry Bog in MCN!!! and it is the same shade as in my Smoothie!
and now... off to search for the PERFECT pattern?!! Perhaps the *Handspun Delight Shawlette?

The sweater, not the girl...but she does make for a pretty cute model, no? and the pose, all her own.

The Pattern: Boheme is FREE!

The Yarn: Sunshine Yarns Classic Sock in Cactus Flower.

The Details:
Pattern called out for heavier yarn than what I used but I just went with it. I made the size 18 months on size 6 needles and it fits her 4T wearing self!

So although I go missing for months at a time... I am still here. I still do read all your blogs. I still craft around the clock! I think I like blogging about my completed works, so you might see much more of that!

Up for Air...

Hello there...I'm still here, I still blog...but not recently. I don't have much to say these days (shrugging shoulders) I've been busy, I've been crafting, mostly knitting and collecting yarn! but I do still love crochet and I'm actually feeling inspired to create!
I still read all your blogs and I still don't comment. I just like to fly under the radar but I'm working on it.

I know by now you've all seen or at the very least heard about the devastation in Haiti. I amazes me that we can go from complaining about our economy to rallying in order to help. Amazing, how people who have so little still find they can give a little.

Happy New year! I hope everyone had a great Holiday Season? I did, I like when things go quiet. I think that is why I love winter time so much, things just slow down and if I'm being honest, I can hide easier.
I don't know why I do it, I really don't. I was making progress, going out to knit meets, hanging out with friends, I even joined a co-ed softball team! and then I stopped.
So since this is the season of starting over, I really want to.

In 2010 I'd like to:
1. Be less shy- Go to knit meets/fibery gatherings
2. Smile more often
3. Knit a sweater/cardigan
4. Be active- I almost cried when my boys bought the Wii Fit so I could do it too.
5. Like myself- others seem to, why not me?
6. Do not add to my yarn stash/knit-cro with what I have.*







* we're on a budget in 2010 and new purchases might be a little hard to swing but I'm sure there will be exceptions.

What a difference a year makes....
