2/12/2011: and I "learned" to spin. Seen here at Libby's house for my first lesson! (Thank You Libby!!)


2/12/2011: Started with some practice fiber I got from FreckleFaceFibers a very long time ago!



2/13/2011: I even "tried" plying...

2/13/2011: Then I said..."enough with the practice! let me at some fiber!!" I said that...just like that. I got this fiber from Libby...she's trying her hand at dyeing and this braid didn't make the cut!
2/13/2011: and plyed...
2/18/2011: I finally got a private lesson from Sarah! niddy noddy (yes, that's a real word!) and washing.
the final product!!


So now I think I can do anything right!! I made yarn after all!! so I broke out the good stuff!!

Fair time

I have a 12 year old...and I think he is amazing. He is not shy and will try everything! how could he possibly be mine? he is head-strong and opinionated...well I guess he is mine?! This weekend at the fair he stuck his head in EVERY cut-out just so I could take his picture...he might be a bit of a ham too!

He makes me laugh...out-loud...even when I don't want to!
I hope he's making great memories...

It couldn't hurt

...today I work up with my eyes so dry I could barely open them. No, I didn't crash after a night of partying with my contacts in...although I have done that before. No, it wasn't so hot out that we fell asleep with the ceiling fan on high...although I have done that before. I think it's due to the Sjogrens. I've linked it for those of you that don't know what I'm talking about. It's basically an autoimmune disease were my white blood cells attack the moisture producing parts of my body. It is NOT life-threatening just a little uncomfortable at the moment.
What I was wondering is, does anyone out there suffer from this too? Do you know someone that does? Is there any advice or suggestions you could give me?

The Details:
Pattern called out for heavier yarn than what I used but I just went with it. I made the size 18 months on size 6 needles and it fits her 4T wearing self!

So although I go missing for months at a time... I am still here. I still do read all your blogs. I still craft around the clock! I think I like blogging about my completed works, so you might see much more of that!

Up for Air...

Hello there...I'm still here, I still blog...but not recently. I don't have much to say these days (shrugging shoulders) I've been busy, I've been crafting, mostly knitting and collecting yarn! but I do still love crochet and I'm actually feeling inspired to create!
I still read all your blogs and I still don't comment. I just like to fly under the radar but I'm working on it.
